After batch assays with increasing concentrations of limonene (without limonene addition to 2000 mg L-1), an inhibition effect was observed at H2 and HAc production at high concentrations of limonene. The developed method allowed the determination of limonene in anaerobic reactors.

By employing the Active compound Derivatization Method strategy, the commercial synthetic auxin 2-(naphtalen-1-yl)acetic acid (NAA) has been converted into a new tetraxone (5). In a pre-emergency bioassay, tetraoxane 5 was effective in inhibiting the growth of several weeds at 1.25 × 10-5 mol L-1.
