From gamma irradiation of molybdenum oxide, reduced oxides (MoO3-x) were obtained with expansion of the absorption spectral region. With the heterojunction formation between MoO3-x and cadmium sulfide (CdS) quantum dots, better efficiencies for photocatalytic generation of hydrogen and oxygen are achieved.

Ten different toothpastes were selected. Toothpaste slurries were prepared at a ratio of 1:2, 1:3, 1:10 and 1:30 (w/w). The immobility/mortality test was carried out on Artemia salina L. The root growth test was carried out on Allium cepa L. pH of the slurries were determined.

Biomass is a promising raw material for energy generation and is relevant to be used in chemistry education by enabling the discussion about sustainable development goals (SDGs). For higher education, it is recommended that planning and execution be based on problematized experimental activity (PEA).
