A new δ-FeOOH supported nano-Au catalyst was prepared and employed as catalyst for reduction from 4-nitrophenol to 4-aminophenol. The catalysts exhibited significantly high catalytic activitu for hydrogenation of nitrophenols at room temperature.

The symmetry breaking phenomenon in 1,2,3-trioxolene and C2Y3Z2 (Z= O, S, Se, Te, Z= H, F) compounds: a pseudo Jahn-Teller origin study

Quantum-chemical simulations of 1,2,3-Trioxolene which is an intermediate in the acetylene ozonolysis reaction showed that, five member ring of the molecule is unstable in its C2v high-symmetry planar configuration and it is folded along b1 nuclear displacement to Cs symmetry equilibrium geometry.

The fusel oil consisting primarily of isopentanol (> 60 %), a byproduct generated in the ethanol production, can be served as an alcohol source to yield flavor esters using different organic acids. The concept of a natural ester made by enzymatic synthesis with lipase and natural substrate components is an alternative to conventional organic synthesis route.
